Esplendor e Dismorfia with Vera Mantero
Avignon Theater Festival, Avignon
A hybrid recital for two landscape-bodies moved by breathing. An agglomeration destroying itself and growing, disaster and anti-disaster in which acceleration, fungi, and flesh survive. Invisible splendours. Hyper-future and hyper-past. Between dysmorphia, sun, and flesh.
Vera Mantero is a choreographer and performer. Her work brings together movement, text, objects, and voices. Since 1991, her creations have been performed in Europe, North and South America, Singapore, and South Korea.
Jonathan Uliel Saldanha builds soundscapes and sets, intercepting sounds, gestures, voices, and films. Since 2009, he has been presenting his work in concert halls in Portugal and abroad.
